Introducing Anyis

My silver tube (finally) arrived... woohoo!

Look what I made... she`s bootiful if I do say so myself. My first smaller silver core. Her core is 5mm...  just right for Pandora or Troll bracelets.

Hope you like her too.

Also today,

'Koro'

1st Wedding Fair!

I am blogging from my first Wedding Fair....eeek! don`t know how it`s going to go but hey, nothing ventured, nothing gained.

I`ve set everything up... turned my laptop on and started blogging! (I can`t leave my computer alone for a minute) I just have to wait for the customers who will be arriving at 11am.

The aim of today is to promote my 'Champagne Jewellery' range.
Glass bead jewellery created from your recycled Champagne bottle.

Just send your bottle to me so I can transform it into a special gift for your loved one.
Any glass bottle can be used - the colour of the bottle dictates the colour of your jewellery.
Commemorative earrings, Charm Braclelet, Cufflinks...

Iced Lily

I am always trying to challenge myself with new techiques & ideas. My last challenge was to use my own blown shards (and use them effectively) in my work.

I think/hope I have succeeded. The next challenge is using Murrini in my work. Making them is a little above me at the mo!
Murrine are little pieces/slabs of glass containing anything from a fish, to a face to a heart.
The one I chose are gorgeous little lilies, and here is what I made:

I will continue experimenting and let you know how I get on.

Shimmery beads of 11.9.09

Well, my order arrived yesterday in this state.
As you can imagine I was a little peeved to say the least. I took this pic to send to the supplier (who will remain nameless - they are replacing the broken rods - but only the ones that are broken in more pieces than two!!!!! Suppose I can melt the halves together, but it`s a bit of a hassle... I have a thing for fresh new WHOLE rods....)
Anyway.... I had a little play and I really like what happened :)

Beads added over the past few days....

'Metamorphosis' - created entirely from reactive silver glass. They have to be one of my favourite bead sets of all time.

' Ceasg' - meaning Scottish Mermaid.
With these beads I experimented with transparent glass, fine silver and deep aqua frit - I really like how they came out!

'Phoenix' - transparent pinky base decorated with my blown reactive glass shards.

'Seldom'- transparent light blue glass decorated with my blown reactive silver glass shards.
